Former Celtic player Charlie Mulgrew has backed manager Martin O'Neill to lead Celtic to victory in their next four domestic matches. Mulgrew expressed his confidence despite O'Neill facing mounting pressure following consecutive derby defeats to Rangers, a Champions League exit against LASK, and a Europa League loss to Ferencvaros.
Speaking on The Breakdown, Mulgrew voiced concerns regarding the squad's quality in midfield, goalkeeper situations, and their prospects in European competition. The comments follow a recent loss where O'Neill switched to a five-man defense and benched summer signings Haissem Hassan and Kasper Hogh in favor of Luke McCowan.
