The Story in 60 Seconds

World Boxing News has revisited the possibility of overturning Prichard Colón's only professional loss following his death at age 33. Colón suffered a career-ending brain bleed following an October 17, 2015 disqualification defeat against Terrel Williams in Fairfax, Virginia. Boxer Thomas Dulorme publicly advocated for the result to be changed to a No Contest, stating the bout did not represent a fair outcome of a normal fight.

However, Virginia's Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation confirmed legal restrictions prevent altering the result. Under Virginia law, decisions cannot be changed without evidence of regulatory violations, collusion, or scoring errors. Although a state review identified officiating concerns regarding referee Joe Cooper, it found no formal regulatory violations by officials.
