Thunder must take page out of Timberwolves’ playbook to fill final roster spot

The Oklahoma City Thunder have one official roster spot remaining ahead of the upcoming season. General manager Sam Presti currently operates with limited financial flexibility, sitting approximately $6.9 million below the league's second apron, while players Otega Oweh and Brooks Barnheizer occupy two-way deals.

To address their roster, the Thunder could follow the recruitment approach of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Minnesota recently signed wing Jonathan Kuminga to a two-year contract, reportedly convincing him to turn down a larger offer from the Los Angeles Lakers to join their program.
