Two weeks into the season, and the Houston Texans are already entering a death spiral on nearly everyone’s power rankings. It’s been a surprisingly difficult onset to the season for Houston, who now has to metaphorically look in the mirror…

The Houston Texans have dropped in league-wide power rankings after an 0-2 start to the 2026 NFL season, following a recent loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Constant offensive line adjustments have left quarterback CJ Stroud facing heavy pressure on nearly every snap, pushing Houston toward the playoff bubble on most national boards.
Injuries have further disrupted the interior offensive line, with right guard Ed Ingram sidelined by a groin injury that may force him to miss next week's game. In his absence, the Texans started rookie left guard Keylan Rutledge alongside center Evan Brown and right guard Wyatt Teller as they search for line stability.
