Red Wings Larkin Back on Ice; Won’t Play Thursday

Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin returned to the ice to practice with his teammates on Wednesday, completing the full session. However, Red Wings coach Todd McLellan confirmed that Larkin will not play in Thursday's NHL preseason game against the Buffalo Sabres at Little Caesars Arena.

Larkin suffered an upper-body injury during an off-ice workout shortly before training camp opened. McLellan noted there is a chance Larkin could play in Saturday's preseason finale against the Columbus Blue Jackets, marking his first team practice since his trade request became public.
