Middlesbrough apologise as explanation provided on retail shortage of kits this season

Middlesbrough have apologized and provided an explanation to supporters regarding ongoing shortages of replica kit stock this season. The initial batch of 1,876 limited-edition 150th anniversary shirts sold out within an hour of pre-orders opening on Wednesday, with several fans reporting website crashes during checkout.

Chief commercial officer Lee Fryett explained that demand this season will nearly double any previous volume, causing supply shortages across multiple Castore kits. The club confirmed top-up orders have been placed, with more anniversary shirts expected by the end of November.
