Wales manager Craig Bellamy recalled an encounter with Cristiano Ronaldo during a pre-season trip with Burnley in Lisbon. The Portuguese capital's airport was temporarily locked down by heavy police and security presence, which Bellamy and the Burnley squad initially mistook for a serious security alert before discovering it was to escort Ronaldo.
Bellamy is preparing to lead Wales against Ronaldo and Portugal in a Nations League Group A4 fixture at the Estadio Jose Alvalade. The match marks Bellamy's managerial test against the 41-year-old forward, whom he previously played against for West Ham United in 2008.
