Houston Texans Pro Bowler and starting wide receiver Nico Collins is off to an ominous start to Week 3 as the Indianapolis Colts loom.

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins was absent from practice on September 23, casting doubt on his availability for Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts. Collins previously missed the team's Week 2 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals due to a Grade 1 hamstring injury suffered in practice. According to reports, he is not currently expected to play against Indianapolis.
Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans stated that the team is monitoring Collins' recovery before determining his playing status, while calling on the remaining wide receivers to step up. Quarterback C.J. Stroud acknowledged the difficulty of playing without Collins but expressed optimism regarding building chemistry with receivers Kayshon Boutte and Jaylin Noel.
