The Story in 60 Seconds

Goalkeeper Owen Goodman revealed that Celtic defender Alistair Johnston convinced him to move to Dundee on loan from Crystal Palace. Prior to speaking with Dundee manager Steven Pressley, the 22-year-old messaged his Canada international teammate to ask about the Scottish Premiership and Dundee. Johnston provided positive feedback regarding the league and praised Dundee as a club, which persuaded Goodman to finalize the temporary switch to secure regular playing time.

Goodman subsequently made an early-season appearance against Johnston and Celtic at Parkhead in August. Celtic, managed by Martin O'Neill, secured a 1-0 victory in that match courtesy of a goal scored by Benjamin Nygren.
