49ers Reportedly Received Woman’s Complaint About Daejon Love’s Scam Months Before His Arrest

The San Francisco 49ers reportedly received a complaint about Daejon Love impersonating a team player months before his arrest, according to ESPN. Gwen Herndon submitted a concern form on December 20, 2025, warning the franchise about Love's fraudulent activities targeting women. A Levi's Stadium guest services representative replied on December 27, noting that the team takes misrepresentation seriously but cannot comment on ongoing investigations.

Love and his partner Taylor Chan were arrested on August 24 and charged with wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Federal authorities alleged they defrauded 26 women of roughly $1.3 million. Despite Herndon's message, a 49ers team source told ESPN the organization received no reports regarding Love before being contacted by the FBI in August.
