‘X-factor’: West Ham fans and coaches blown away by ‘outstanding’ 17-year-old

West Ham United 17-year-old winger Joel Kerr scored both goals in a 2-0 victory over Valencia in the Premier League International Cup at Rush Green. Kerr opened the scoring with a solo effort following work from Tyrone Omotoye before sealing the win with a stoppage-time Panenka penalty. West Ham Under-21 manager Mark Robson praised the teenager's performance, highlighting his counter-attacking finish and penalty.

Kerr, who joined West Ham from Glentoran in 2025, has scored six goals in eight appearances across all competitions this season. His recent run includes scoring the winner against Liverpool in Premier League 2 and helping the Under-18 squad win the Premier League Cup in May against Blackburn Rovers.
