Ja’Marr Chase confused by seemingly special treatment from defenses across NFL

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase expressed confusion regarding defensive coverages on his podcast, Chasing No. 1. Speaking with guest and former Bengals wide receiver Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson, Chase questioned why Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba seemingly faces fewer double-teams than he does.

Chase noted he was double-teamed by a linebacker and a cornerback on a second-and-10 play. His comments followed a performance where Smith-Njigba recorded nine receptions for 155 yards and three touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals, compared to Chase's seven catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns against the Houston Texans.
