Club members approved €510 million ($580,02 million) in additional financing to complete work on Camp Nou and cover revenue shortfalls.
FC Barcelona is pursuing two new debt financing packages after club members approved €510 million in additional funding for the Camp Nou renovation. The plan addresses mounting construction costs and projected revenue shortfalls caused by project delays. Project work began in 2023 and is now not expected to finish until the 2028-29 season, with the club budgeting a return to the stadium in January 2028.
The financing package includes €300 million in project finance debt managed by Goldman Sachs with a 30-year maturity, secured against future VIP hospitality revenue. An additional €210 million in senior debt with a 10-year maturity will be secured against future television rights from LaLiga and UEFA competitions to cover cash-flow deficits.
