Columbus Recreation and Parks Department and Cleveland Browns to kick off new partnership with flag football clinic

The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department and the Cleveland Browns have announced a new partnership to expand youth flag football access across Columbus. To launch the initiative, a free co-ed flag football clinic will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Kilbourne Run Sports Park. The clinic is open to boys and girls in second through eighth grades of all experience levels.

Beginning in 2027, the organizations will introduce the Jr. Browns Flag Football program across Columbus community centers. Officials, including Columbus Mayor Andrew J. Ginther, department director Bernita A. Reese, and Haslam Sports Group Managing Partner JW Johnson, stated the partnership aims to lower barriers and promote teamwork and athletic fundamentals.
