The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, announced a trade on September 23 to acquire the returning player rights to Skylar Mays and Jaylen Sims. The deal with the Iowa Wolves also included a first-round pick in the 2026 NBA G League Draft in exchange for the returning player rights to Stephen Thompson Jr.
Mays, a former Los Angeles Lakers guard, recently signed a one-year deal with Australia's South East Melbourne Phoenix after playing for KK Budućnost. The Herd will hold his G League rights should he choose to return to the league following his overseas stint.
