Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin completed a full practice on Thursday after previously managing a day-to-day lower-body injury. Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery expressed optimism, confirming that Ovechkin participated fully in the session without having to sit out any drills ahead of the upcoming season.
The update comes after the veteran forward left practice early as a precaution on September 23 due to minor discomfort. Ovechkin skated on the first line alongside Dylan Strome and Ryan Leonard as he prepares for his 22nd NHL season.
