Everton defender Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been nominated for the Premier League's Goal of the Month award for September. The nomination follows his 96th-minute equalizing goal from 25 yards out during his club debut against Manchester United, which secured a 2-2 draw for David Moyes' team.
Maitland-Niles entered the match as a 77th-minute substitute for Harrison Armstrong just five days after joining Everton. The 29-year-old is featured on an eight-man shortlist alongside Harvey Barnes, Bryan Mbeumo, Bruno Guimaraes, Lewis Dunk, Nicolas Jackson, Emiliano Buendia, and Jay Dasilva, with voting concluding on September 28.
