Manchester City midfielder Rayan Cherki has joined up with the French national team under new manager Zinedine Zidane. Cherki expressed excitement about playing under the French football legend, who also praised the 23-year-old playmaker's creativity and technical ability between the lines ahead of their upcoming fixtures.

The call-up follows a transitional period for Cherki at Manchester City under new manager Enzo Maresca, who replaced Pep Guardiola. After recording 10 goals and 15 assists last season, Cherki recently provided two assists against Bournemouth and scored two goals against Crystal Palace.
