Totti turned down offers from Genoa and Como at 48

AS Roma legend Francesco Totti revealed in his autobiography that he rejected offers to return to Serie A at age 48. Both Genoa and Como contacted the former attacking midfielder about coming out of retirement, causing him to hesitate before ultimately deciding against the moves.

Totti retired from professional football in 2017 at age 41 after spending 24 years with Roma. He explained that his refusal was driven by loyalty to Roma, stating that playing for another Italian club would have felt like a sporting betrayal.
