Another Ajay Mitchell Thunder leap is on the horizon after Sam Presti endorsement

Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti endorsed guard Ajay Mitchell ahead of Mitchell's third NBA season during his preseason address. Presti highlighted Mitchell's developmental potential, noting that while the guard has missed significant time due to injuries in his first two seasons, his increased strength and offseason conditioning should enhance his durability and impact for the 2026-27 campaign.

Mitchell served as Oklahoma City's sixth man during the 2025-26 regular season, averaging 13.6 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game. However, injuries limited him to appearing in only three games during the Thunder's Western Conference Finals series against the San Antonio Spurs.
