OKC Thunder rookie Aday Mara may not have see as much of a competition to receive substantial run in camp and during the preseason as many may have thought.
Oklahoma City Thunder center Aday Mara is expected to see increased opportunities during training camp and the preseason following an update on frontcourt teammate Thomas Sorber. Thunder general manager Sam Presti announced on Thursday that Sorber will face limitations in camp as the team takes a cautious approach with his rehabilitation.
Sorber missed his entire rookie campaign due to a torn ACL and underwent an additional minor arthroscopic procedure on the same knee over the summer. Presti explained that the extended absence complicates Sorber's return-to-play process, creating an opening for Mara to earn significant playing time.
