After disappointing season, will Wilson be back with Mariners in ’27?

Seattle Mariners manager Dan Wilson addressed speculation regarding his future on Thursday following the club's official elimination from the AL West race. Wilson stated his focus is on pushing through the final four games of the regular season. However, sources have told MLB.com that there is an elevated expectation that Wilson will not return to manage the team in 2027.

In contrast to the managerial uncertainty, president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto and general manager Justin Hollander are both expected to return. The Mariners were eliminated from division contention when the Texas Rangers defeated the New York Mets, leaving Seattle 4 1/2 games back with four games remaining.
