Oddsmakers Make Major Rangers Move With Season On The Line

FanDuel Sportsbook shifted its AL West division odds on Thursday, listing the Texas Rangers at +142 and the Houston Astros at -168 following the Rangers' 3-1 victory over the New York Mets at Globe Life Field. The win improved Texas to a 79-80 record, placing them a half-game ahead of the 78-80 Astros.

Texas received home runs from Josh Jung and Corey Seager, while Kumar Rocker allowed one run over five innings. Houston, who holds the head-to-head tiebreaker after winning the regular-season series 9-4, was set to open a four-game series against the Athletics with starting pitcher Peter Lambert.
