Brewers Make Final Decision on Shane Drohan for Playoffs

Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy confirmed Thursday that rookie left-hander Shane Drohan will be included on the team's NLDS roster. Murphy told reporters the decision was set "come hell or high water" ahead of Milwaukee opening the postseason on October 3. The Brewers clinched the NL Central title, earned a first-round bye, and reached 100 regular-season wins during their series against Philadelphia.

Drohan joined Milwaukee from Boston in a February trade and made his major league debut on April 8. Across 31 games and 18 starts, the 27-year-old posted a 7-5 record with a 4.24 ERA and 121 strikeouts over 120 1/3 innings. The Brewers value his versatility as both a starter and long reliever for the postseason.
