Liverpool, Premier League and Scotland legend reveals West Brom ‘interest’

Scotland international Andy Robertson revealed that West Bromwich Albion showed interest in signing him in 2014 before his move to Hull City. Speaking on Sky Sports' The Overlap, Robertson recalled that the Baggies were monitoring him while he was playing for Dundee United, but he ultimately signed with Hull City following a persuasive phone call with then-manager Steve Bruce.

Robertson also disclosed that Everton submitted an unsuccessful £750,000 bid under Roberto Martinez in January 2014 before Hull secured a £2.85 million permanent transfer that summer. He subsequently made 115 appearances for Hull City before spending nine trophy-laden years at Liverpool and later joining Tottenham Hotspur.
