Promotion heroes and an £8.1m striker – nine ex-Town stars still without a club…

Several former Ipswich Town players remain free agents following the closure of the 2026 summer transfer window. Among those without a club are forward Connor Wickham, who previously moved to Sunderland for £8.1 million, and midfielder Grant Ward, whose contract was not renewed by Port Vale after their League One relegation.

Full-back Williams is also searching for a team after having his contract terminated by Hull City in February, while winger Kyle Edwards departed Northampton Town at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season. Other former Town players listed as free agents include James Norwood, Will Keane, and Adam Webster.
