The Miami Dolphins are getting more snaps to rookies than any other team in the league. It appears as though opportunity knocks for yet another one in Week 3.
Miami Dolphins fifth-round rookie wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. is positioned for an expanded role entering Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Injuries across the Dolphins' wide receiver room have opened up playing time, including limited practice sessions for Chris Bell due to knee soreness and an ankle injury affecting rookie Caleb Douglas.
Adding to the receiving corps' issues, Ryan Miller was downgraded to a non-participant in practice. Offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik praised Coleman's competitive nature, speed, and separation ability, noting that Coleman is the only rookie receiver tasked with learning every receiver position in Miami's offensive system.
