Middlesbrough academy graduate Hayden Hackney left for Everton in the summer, and it hasn't taken long for the former Boro ace to impress.

Former Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney has earned early praise following his permanent summer transfer to Everton in June. The 24-year-old made six appearances across all competitions prior to the first international break, including starts against Crystal Palace and Wolves, while sitting out only a Carabao Cup tie against Preston North End.
Hackney notably provided an assist for Tyrique George's goal against Manchester United on September 6. Former Everton players Yakubu and Tim Cahill both publicly praised his performances, with Cahill calling him a better footballer than himself and highlighting his bright future at the club.
