Glasgow Warriors enter the 2026-27 United Rugby Championship season seeking to bounce back from last year's late-season collapse. Despite finishing at the top of the regular season table, head coach Franco Smith's squad suffered a narrow semifinal defeat against the Bulls at Murrayfield after surrendering a 21-3 lead, following an earlier quarterfinal exit against Toulon in the European Champions Cup.
The Scottish club faces the new campaign without several key departed players, including Jack Dempsey, Huw Jones, Adam Hastings, Johnny Matthews, Jamie Bhatti, and Sione Vailanu. Center Stafford McDowall remains an integral squad leader, while 23-year-old forward Macenzzie Duncan and new addition Jamie Ritchie are expected to play pivotal roles in the back row.
