Former Sheffield United striker Danny Ings snapped up by League One club on free transfer

Wycombe Wanderers have signed former Sheffield United striker Danny Ings on a free transfer. The 34-year-old forward signed his contract at Adams Park on Friday morning, following his departure from Bramall Lane at the end of last season. Ings could potentially make his debut for the League One club in their upcoming match against Reading on Saturday afternoon.

Ings scored two goals in 24 appearances for Sheffield United during a one-year stint after joining them in August of the previous year. A proposed summer move to Leicester City reportedly collapsed, leading him to return to League One for the first time since August 2011.
