‘Excited to get going’ – Ex-Town loan star drops into non-league for the first time

Former Ipswich Town midfielder Jonny Williams has signed with National League club Eastleigh on a free transfer until the end of the season. The 32-year-old former Wales international enters non-league football for the first time after leaving League Two side Gillingham during the summer.

Williams links up with manager Matt Gray's squad, joining fellow former Ipswich player Oli Hawkins at the Silverlake Stadium. Eastleigh sat 12th in the fifth tier following their opening nine fixtures ahead of their scheduled fixture against Harrogate Town.
