Jalen Duren would dethrone Gary Trent Jr as Bucks’ worst move of the summer

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren reportedly declined a contract offer worth as much as $200 million over five years this offseason. The Milwaukee Bucks theoretically have the financial room to meet or exceed those contract figures, but doing so is argued to carry significant financial risk.

While Duren earned an All-NBA selection after averaging 19.5 points per game in the regular season, his production dropped to 10.2 points per game during the playoffs. Committing to a five-year deal for Duren is viewed as a major gamble due to his postseason performance.
