Notebook | TE Mason Taylor, S Minkah Fitzpatrick and LB Kiko Mauigoa Won’t Play vs. Lions

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn announced that safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, linebacker Kiko Mauigoa, and tight end Mason Taylor have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. Fitzpatrick is sidelined with a groin injury, Mauigoa is dealing with a quad issue, and Taylor is out due to a thumb injury. Running back Kene Nwangwu did not practice and is considered doubtful.

Glenn also shared that defensive players Joseph Ossai, David Bailey, and rookie cornerback D'Angelo Ponds participated in full practices Friday. Wide receiver Adonai Mitchell was limited due to a finger injury. The Jets' top-ranked defense will face a Detroit offense led by quarterback Jared Goff, who currently leads the league with six touchdown passes.
