Former Philadelphia 76ers general manager Billy King stated on SiriusXM NBA Radio that the team can remain competitive even when LeBron James and Joel Embiid miss games. King highlighted that the franchise's upgraded bench depth and supporting roster will allow Philadelphia to win games during planned absences or injury setbacks for their primary stars.
Despite the improved supporting cast, King emphasized that ultimate championship success still depends on Joel Embiid and LeBron James remaining healthy. Head coach Nick Nurse and president of basketball operations Mike Gansey both reported that Embiid has experienced an unrestricted, productive offseason in the gym.
