Steph Curry’s extension should come as a warning to both SGA and Thunder

The Golden State Warriors have signed 38-year-old guard Steph Curry to a two-year contract extension worth $116 million. The deal will pay Curry $62.6 million in the 2026-27 season followed by $55.7 million the subsequent year. Golden State agreed to the extension despite missing the playoffs in two of the last three seasons.

The contract serves as a financial reference point for the Oklahoma City Thunder regarding star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The 28-year-old Thunder cornerstone has already secured an NBA championship along with two consecutive MVP awards as he enters his prime.
