International debuts for Hibs stars as Easter Road ace impresses in ‘fantastic’ collection of talents

Several Hibernian players represented their national teams during the international break, with Owen Elding and Azeem Abdulai earning their senior international debuts. Elding came on as a substitute under manager Heimir Hallgrimsson in the Republic of Ireland's 1-0 Nations League defeat to Kosovo. Abdulai made his debut off the bench for Sierra Leone during a 3-2 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying loss to Zimbabwe.

Elsewhere, Miguel Chaiwa played 68 minutes in Zambia's 3-1 defeat to Algeria. Hibs midfielder Jacob Devaney, on loan from Manchester United, earned praise from manager Jim Crawford after starting 75 minutes in Republic of Ireland Under-21s' 2-0 victory over Slovakia. Meanwhile, defender Lewis Gillie completed 90 minutes in Scotland Under-19s' 3-1 friendly win over Finland.
