Lorenzo Pellegrini is ready to return to the forefront of Roma.

Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini has completed his rehabilitation and is prepared to return to action, potentially starting in the upcoming fixture against Como. Pellegrini has been sidelined since April 10, when he suffered a tear in the rectus femoris tendon of his right thigh against Pisa. The injury required surgical repair and caused him to miss 12 matches spanning across the end of last season and the start of the current campaign.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, manager Gian Piero Gasperini strongly advocated for Pellegrini's contract extension and plans to utilize him as a key reinforcement. Gasperini has rotated Matias Soulé and Mora on the left flank, leaving Pellegrini as a leading candidate to claim the starting role at least until the January transfer window.
