Bristol Bears have suffered major injury setbacks as new signing Ethan Staddon and back Noah Heward have both sustained anterior cruciate ligament injuries. Both players have already undergone surgery and now face extensive spells on the sidelines. Heward sustained his injury five minutes into the club's Prem Rugby Cup loss to Exeter two weeks prior.
The Bears are facing further squad absences across multiple positions. Centre Kalaveti Ravouvou is ruled out for roughly 12 weeks after sustaining a knee injury during international duty with Fiji, while prop Max Lahiff was sidelined for the clash against Sale due to an ankle problem.
