Everton players James Garner and Jarrad Branthwaite both featured as substitutes for England in their match against Spain at Wembley on Saturday. Garner entered the pitch in the 70th minute replacing Myles Lewis-Skelly, while Branthwaite replaced Marc Guehi in the 89th minute. Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford remained on the bench as manager Thomas Tuchel started James Trafford.
Garner's appearance came after being added to the England squad following five player withdrawals, including Declan Rice and Cole Palmer. Spain secured the lead shortly after Garner's entrance through a 74th-minute goal by Mikel Oyarzabal to make it 3-2. England next travels to Prague to face Czechia on Tuesday in the Nations League.
