Jasper Wiese says while the Springboks’ 42-38 loss to the Wallabies in Perth hurts, they learned valuable lessons from it.

South Africa No. 8 Jasper Wiese stated that the Springboks' 42-38 defeat to the Wallabies in Perth provided valuable lessons despite the painful result. A heavily changed Springbok squad rallied from a 42-17 deficit in the final 10 minutes, scoring three late tries against an Australian side that received four yellow cards, but ultimately fell short.
Wiese earned his 50th Test cap after entering the match in the 47th minute. He noted that navigating the local environment and travel arrangements would benefit the team ahead of the upcoming World Cup in Australia, as the Springboks prepare for November Nations Championship matches against Italy, France, and Ireland.
