Egypt's national team players were reportedly surprised by manager Hossam Hassan's decision to substitute Celtic winger Haissem Hassan and Mohamed Salah during a 0-0 draw with Angola. Both players were removed with 30 minutes remaining, despite being viewed as the team's primary attacking threats.
The early substitutions have reportedly fueled internal discontent among the squad following the match. Manager Hossam Hassan allegedly rejected advice from director Ibrahim Hassan to keep both players on the pitch, adding to existing squad tension over comments made regarding goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy.
