Giancarlo Stanton’s promising rehab stint could lead to him breaking Guardians’ fans hearts yet again

New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton took live at-bats and ran the bases earlier this week at the team's "stay ready" camp at TD Bank Ballpark. Manager Aaron Boone noted that Stanton hit a home run during the session and stated the slugger is "knocking on the door" for a postseason return.

Stanton has been sidelined since mid-April due to calf injuries. Historically, Stanton has hit eight of his 18 career postseason home runs against the Cleveland Guardians, including home runs in the final three games of the 2024 American League Championship Series.
