Chris Richards backs growing American presence in English football

Crystal Palace defender Chris Richards has praised the increasing influx of American talent into the Premier League and Championship. Speaking during United States men's national team training alongside Palace teammate Zavier Gozo, Richards noted that English football is actively tapping into the United States player pipeline.

Nineteen-year-old Gozo joined Crystal Palace from Real Salt Lake during the summer, while American players including Max Arfsten, Jack McGlynn, Sebastian Berhalter, Luca Bombino, and Rokas Pukstas transferred to the Championship. Richards also noted growing respect from supporters, citing the rising presence of US jerseys in English stadiums.
