The US President was in attendance for the start of the singles session at Medinah on Sunday as the hosts tried to recover from a precarious position
US President Donald Trump attended the final day of the 2026 Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club on Sunday, September 27, 2026. Introduced by PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp on the first tee box ahead of the singles session, Trump gave a brief address lasting approximately 60 seconds before spectators who greeted him with cheers, chants of 'USA!', and some boos.
Trump served as the honorary chairman for the event as the US Team sought to overcome a 10.5-7.5 deficit against Team International, captained by Geoff Ogilvy. The International squad entered Sunday's play pursuing their second victory in the tournament's history and their first on American soil.
