In and Out, 2026 Week 3: Ewers the Backup, Regis Inactive

Quarterback Quinn Ewers will serve as the Jacksonville Jaguars' backup quarterback behind starter Trevor Lawrence on Sunday. Ewers is active for the first time this season as Jacksonville hosts the New England Patriots in a 2026 Week 3 matchup at EverBank Stadium.

The Jaguars acquired Ewers via a trade shortly before the start of the season. Ewers was inactive for the team's first two games, during which Jacksonville elevated quarterback Nick Mullens from the practice squad to serve as Lawrence's primary backup.
