Blues Claim Justin Barron Off Waivers; Adam Jiricek Recalled From Springfield

The St. Louis Blues claimed defenseman Justin Barron off waivers from the Nashville Predators on Sunday, while also recalling defenseman Adam Jiricek from the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds. Barron, 24, has one year remaining on his contract with a $1.575 million cap hit before becoming a restricted free agent.

The roster moves come as the Blues deal with injuries on defense to Logan Mailloux and Tyler Tucker. In corresponding moves ahead of Monday's roster submission deadline, St. Louis placed defenseman Calle Rosen and goaltender Georgii Romanov on waivers.
