Germany suffered a 1-0 defeat against Greece in manager Jürgen Klopp's first home match in charge. A deflected strike from Dimitrios Kourbelis sealed the victory for the visitors after Germany struggled to break down their defensive setup. Following the result, Klopp accepted full responsibility for the lineup selections and tactical decisions.
Klopp made five changes to the starting lineup following an earlier draw against the Netherlands. While Klopp highlighted that the newly formed squad requires time and routine to build familiarity, some supporters questioned whether the team's performances would improve.
