Adam Jiricek Recalled; Blues to Address Logan Mailloux’s Injury On Monday

The St. Louis Blues announced several roster moves on Sunday, recalling defenseman Adam Jiricek from the AHL, claiming defenseman Justin Barron off waivers from the Nashville Predators, and placing defenseman Calle Rosen on waivers. These moves follow an injury sustained by defenseman Logan Mailloux during Saturday's 3-2 preseason finale loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. General manager Alexander Steen is scheduled to address the media regarding Mailloux's status on Monday morning.

Mailloux suffered an upper-body injury in the first period of Saturday's game after fighting Cole Smith to defend teammate Philip Broberg. The injury creates an immediate NHL roster opportunity for Jiricek under head coach Jim Montgomery. Additionally, the waiver claim of Barron adds another right-handed defensive option to the Blues' blue line.
