The Story in 60 Seconds

Boxing journalist Dan Rafael has defended promoter Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua amid an ongoing promotional dispute surrounding Joshua's bout with Tyson Fury. The December 11 fight in Cardiff is scheduled to stream on Netflix, but arrangements over promotional credit remain contested. Rafael argued that Matchroom Boxing should protect its key asset and not allow Dana White's Zuffa Boxing an uncontracted promotional role on the major platform.

Rafael proposed a compromise where The Ring promotes the main event while White features undercard fighters via an invitation from Turki Alalshikh. Rafael additionally noted concerns from Joshua's camp regarding Fury joining the agreed drug-testing program for the heavyweight clash.
