The new national team boss had to earn his stripes with his new-look squad in his first match in charge against Slovenia

Sebastien Pocognoli made his debut as Scotland manager in a UEFA Nations League match against Slovenia at the Skozice Stadium in Ljubljana. After a disjointed first-half performance, Pocognoli used video analysis and tactical adjustments during the break to help his side secure a Group 1 point in a scoreless draw.
Scotland defender Stephen Welsh praised Pocognoli's calm demeanor and tactical instructions following his international debut. The team dominated possession and kept a clean sheet in the second half, though they were unable to convert several scoring chances.
